The central question I want to explore in this workshop is: How can creative techniques or abstract art be combined with realistic painting? You will get to know various tools, painting styles, and surfaces while learning how to apply techniques across different approaches—from loose, painterly expressions to more defined, form-focused representations. We will develop both thin and thick textures and effects using a variety of materials. This combination allows for imaginative backgrounds or environments that can either stand on their own or serve as a foundation for a composition that balances realism, form, and abstraction.
