The term "figurative art" describes contemporary movements in visual art in which people and objects are depicted in a recognizable way. The subjects are easily understandable and include landscapes, people, animals, as well as interior and city scenes. Important: Figurative art is not the same as the mere depiction of figures, which focuses exclusively on the human body. Nevertheless, human and animal figures play a central role in this genre.I deliberately chose the term "figurative" as an overarching title because it gives me greater artistic freedom. This allows me to present a variety of motifs and styles on this page—without a strict separation between realistic portraits, abstract elements, or the depiction of figures. This decision enables me to showcase a broad spectrum of figurative art without committing to a fixed category. In doing so, I can highlight the diversity and many facets of this fascinating genre even more effectively.
