Each course lasts 10 weeks, but you have a full 12 weeks to complete it at your own pace. If something comes up – no problem! You can start anytime, even without prior painting experience. The courses in my painting school are tailored just for you. No standardized program for everyone, but exactly what you want to learn. Whether you're a beginner or advanced – painting here is fun, exciting, and accessible to all. Everything you need is included. You don’t have to bring anything – just start right away! In this course, we will develop together: A Sense of Space and Depth: Learn how light and shadow bring your artwork to life – whether with pencil or oil paints. Fundamentals of Color Theory: Discover how warm and cool tones, as well as complementary contrasts, create harmony and expression in your paintings. Expanding Your Skillset: Explore various techniques, from precise drawing to vibrant work with oil paints. Your Personal Signature: Find your own style and develop unique approaches that make your art truly one of a kind.
Under expert guidance, you can refine your painting technique while working on a topic of your choice. Discover exciting new approaches – from the techniques of the old masters to modern combinations of realism and abstract art. You will also learn how to use a variety of creative tools. The focus is always on realistic painting, helping you take your art to the next level!
The courses offer you the perfect opportunity to get creative in a small, familiar group. With a maximum of 8 participants per group, you can enjoy a personal and relaxed atmosphere where you feel comfortable and can develop your own artistic style. Easels and all necessary materials are provided, so you can start right away. Everything is designed to make it as easy as possible for you to get into painting. The focus is not on pressure to create something "perfect" but on the joy of the creative process and discovering your own artistic expression. Let yourself be inspired, enjoy the moment, and immerse yourself in the fascinating world of colors and shapes!
If you wish, you can complete a full academic training in old master painting with me – the duration is three years. Although my school is not state-accredited and I cannot issue an official diploma, you will receive a certificate that documents your skills and dedication.
In the first year, you will immerse yourself in the techniques of the old masters and learn how to use oil paints correctly. You will not only understand colors but also learn to mix them skillfully to achieve impressive effects. A special focus is on depicting different materials—whether wood, stone, glass, or fabric. You will learn how to bring their surfaces and textures to life on canvas. Topics:- Fascinating still lifes- Simple small animals
In the second year, you will expand your color spectrum and deepen your knowledge of color mixing. Additionally, you will discover exciting new techniques that will make your artwork even more vibrant. Painting Animals: How do you paint expressive animal eyes?Whether long, short, soft, or shaggy fur – here, you will learn to depict it realistically.The secret of shimmering feathers will also be revealed!And of course: How to bring an animal portrait to life! Landscape Painting: Sky, grass, trees, and nature in all its facets.Capture the moods of the seasons and create stunning landscapes.
In the third year, you will dive deep into the world of portrait and figure painting. You will learn how to depict eyes, noses, and mouths in detail – the key to a lifelike facial expression! Colors of the Skin: How do you mix skin tones perfectly?Work with simple color palettes and gradually advance to more complex techniques. Portrait Art: Start with simple portraits and limited color ranges. Then take on more challenging pieces: using underpaintings in Grisaille or Bruneille and mastering the Zorn palette technique. Human Anatomy: Studying the entire body will help you master proportions and movement.Create expressive full-body portraits that capture emotion and personality.
